We have been asked on a number of occasions about which puzzles would be suitable for management training or team building exercises. It’s not easy to use puzzles in group activities without working out some sort of system. One of the few types that can be worked on by a number of people are the Pattern Puzzles.
Puzzles for
Management Training
and
Team Building Events
Tantrix Tiles
The Tantrix Puzzles are particularly suitable as the level of difficulty can be chosen. This will help to gauge the amount of time it will take to complete and you can use the same puzzle for different age and ability groups. Also, they are easy for the organiser to get back to the original position and the tiles are high quality bakelite so there should be very little wear and tear allowing many years of use.
To incorporate other puzzles from our ranges, you could try one of the following ideas.
A number of different puzzles can be used, supplying one to each group to attempt to solve in a given time. These could then be rotated around the groups.
A quantity of the same puzzle could be used and each group’s aim is to be the first to solve it.
Don’t forget that if you are the organiser it may be your job to get all the puzzles back to their original positions for the next group to use !!! We will always supply solution sheets (where available) or point you to a web site with instructions if requested.
The Log Pile
Another possibility is to have a puzzle produced in a giant size version which would then make it suitable for a group to work on. A large model of the puzzle on the right, the Log Pile, was produced to use in the garden of The Big Brother House (it was never completed).
Please contact us if you would like any further information on the difficulty levels of the puzzles or if you have any other queries you think we may be able to help you with.
