For us, and we suspect many people, the pleasure derived from a puzzle isn't so much in the doing but in the solving. Puzzles can be infuriating, testing, frustrating and tormenting. That is their fascination. Solving a puzzle by thought and ingenuity brings with it such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment, satisfaction and sense of achievement. If you've tried your hand at mechanical puzzles then you will know what we mean. If you haven't then you can't appreciate what you're missing! And, of course, if the subject is a Japanese puzzle box, you also have one of the most amazing pieces of wooden workmanship that you are ever likely to see.
To view our range of puzzles, use the navigation menu down the left hand side of each page. Some of the puzzles have information pages. You can view these by using the Product Information link in the Help section.
Where the manufacturers have provided a puzzle difficulty rating we have included it as a star rating; more stars - harder the puzzle. These ratings are best used to identify the level of difficulty of puzzles compared to others of a similar type. For instance, you may find a 2 star string puzzle much harder than a 4 star wire puzzle.
We have now discontinued our “Value Range” of wooden puzzles
but you can now find them, along with many others under £5.00,
