A message for our “locals”
We would both like to say a big “thank you” to our many customers and friends for supporting us for almost 10 years and for all the good wishes we have received. As well as stocking interesting, good quality ranges, we always tried to bring the latest products to you before any one else. Belly bars, cyber pets, power beads and beanie babies, amongst many other items, were all seen in Faze 3 before any other local shop stocked them. And then there was the weird and wonderful like triops and the real Mexican jumping beans - in fact keep an eye on this site, you never know . . . . . Faze 3 lives on!
ABOUT FAZE 3
Faze 3 is run by partners Sandra and Alan Ford. The shop, which was situated on the high street in the centre of Colwyn Bay, North Wales, was opened in 1997 and the first tentative steps into the web site began a couple of years later. We say “was situated” because, regretfully, the 7th January, 2006 saw the end of our closing down sale in the shop.
We see no reason to lay blame in any particular area; shopping habits have just changed over the years with the main growth coming from supermarkets, out-of-town shopping centres and the internet, leaving very little room for the small high street independent retailer. There is very little we can do about the first two but we can certainly embrace the power of the world wide web.
Unlike the shop where we always tried to have something for everyone, we have decided it is best to concentrate our efforts here and we will be doing that with our puzzle and love spoon ranges (although there are likely to be a few other ranges that we just can’t resist!).
We hope you like the choice available and that you find the site just that little bit different from others. We have purposely tried to keep its look different from the 1000’s that are continuously being churned out. Simple layout, easy navigation and a shopping cart that is simplicity itself to use are all foremost in our minds.
Enjoy your visit and please let us know of any problems you encounter or suggestions you may have. We may design and maintain the web site but YOU are the user and your input really is appreciated.
OUR AIMS
Our aim with this site is to build a firm trust between our customers and ourselves. We want you to feel as comfortable placing an order with us as you would handing over your money in a shop.
In the past, we have subscribed to a number of associations (you’ve no doubt seen the logos on other sites) which “guarantee” the security of the site and that we are a reputable business to deal with. These associations are all very well but these people do not KNOW us. The people that really know us and are the best advertising that we could possibly have are our past customers. There are many that have returned to us over and over again during the years that we’ve been online.
We have now decided not to subscribe any longer to these various associations and instead, if you have any worries about ordering over the internet, we suggest four things to check.
Firstly, anyone can check a site’s security when ordering - just look for the small padlock at the bottom of the page when you get to the part where you enter your credit card details.
Secondly, you can check that we are not some fly-by-night site that is just after your money by visiting this site so you can see how long we’ve been on the world web web. Some rather embarrassing viewing for us here but it shows that we’ve been around for a while !!!
Thirdly, never deal with any company that doesn’t show a full postal address and landline telephone number as we show you here.
Finally, we are very proud to point you to our Customer Feedback pages. If what you read there doesn’t convey the way we work, then there’s nothing we can say that will convince you.
